Invite to Postgraduates

The Midlands Interdisciplinary Victorian Studies Seminars are held regularly in Birmingham as a research forum for academics working in the Victorian period.

This conference will be a special session of MIVSS at which we invite the postgraduate community across the country to explore issues of beauty and ugliness in Victorian culture.

The conference will be organized around three panels of two twenty-minute papers scheduled across the day, including a lunch break and plenary session. We hope that the day will be as much about discussion as presentation, so postgraduates who do not wish to present a paper are also encouraged to attend.
